Happy are those ... who delight in God's Word, the Psalmist writes (see Psalm 1). We live by God's Word. Bible studies are one method the Spirit uses to root us deeply in the life-giving, life-sustaining Word of God. Each week, God's Word is central in our worship, and we offer two opportunities to join with a small group of friends to listen and discuss what God is saying to us in our world today through the Holy Scriptures.
Prayer and Study
Each Thursday, Pastor Krombholz will post a recorded prayer and study session that gives us time to pray together and walk a little slower and look a little closer on what's happening in the Bible passages assigned for each week. March 14-15: Jesus meets a woman of Samaria at the Well (John 4:5-29)
March 21-22: Jesus heals a man who is born blind (John 9)
Eat. Think. Pray. Wednesdays (March 4 through April 1) from 6:30 p.m. (Online version)
For a season, we gather together to share food and fellowship; to discuss God's Word and to pray. Starting Wednesday evening (March 18), we will eat in our home and gather online to discuss the Lord's Prayer using the book The Lord and His Prayer by N.T. Wright. The evening ends with a time prayer. Families are encouraged to make this a regular part of their week, a time when they can turn off phones and all devices and be together as a family. And, for the children we will have time for special instruction on the Lord's Prayer and how to pray.
Let's journey together so we can grow strong together.
How else do you engage God's Word for us in the Bible. Let us know, and we can explore how we can help you grow deep roots of faith through the study and practice of God's Word.
