1957
- By May the membership totalled 265. The Lutheran Church Women had a membership of 50 and the Lutheran Church Men had 15.
1958
- A contract for the first unit was signed with Herman Kahman and Co. of Wayne, NJ for $91,439 ($25,000 borrowed from the First National Bank of NJ and $40,000 from the Board of American Missions).
- A groundbreaking ceremony was held, and on November 11 a cornerstone-laying service was held.
1959
- On March 8, a service of Thanksgiving was held in the new building.
- A service of dedication was held on June 21 with 200 in attendance.
- The fifth anniversary was celebrated in December at 11:00 am with 190 attending. The Rev. Dr. Edwin Knudten, President of the New Jersey Synod, was the guest preacher.
1961
- Pastor Shirk resigned in April, effective as of May 31.
- On September 15 the Rev. Robert R. Strohl arrived to become our second pastor.
