Pastor James Krombholz

Rev. James R. Krombholz and family
I thank God for the wonderful people of St. Paul's and Edison, for their faith, their love and hospitality. I am privileged to serve with them in God's mission.
My wife, Stefeny, and I have been blessed with two beautiful and talented sons. They keep life exciting and always new. Stefeny is a musician, I am a music-lover -- it’s a beautiful relationship.
I was born in Wisconsin and grew up in Arizona. I graduated from Concordia College in Bronxville in 1992 and went on to attend the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, graduating in 2006. Before and while going to seminary, I worked as Art Director for a small publishing company in White Plains, New York.
In 2017, I earned the doctor of ministry degree in pastoral care and counseling from New Brunswick Theological Seminary. In addition, I earned coaching certification from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). St. Paul's has a long tradition of being a caring community of friends and neighbors. By the grace and power of God, we are building on that tradition with ministries that provide care, support and a healing environment for people in our local community. In worship, study, support groups or pastoral conversations, counseling or coaching, we can discover God's grace and love and the abundant resources God has given to live a life of meaning and purpose in this world.
In Edison, I have been blessed to work and dream alongside my Lutheran colleagues in the Edison-Metuchen-South Plainfield area and with the pastors and members of the other congregations who worship in the building at 445 Old Post Road. God's Holy Spirit is moving over our area. I pray and wait patiently for what's coming next to our neighborhood.
I would love to hear your story ... and to help you discover how your story intersects with God's story of love and redemption through Jesus Christ. Give me a call at (732) 287-0888.
