10/15/2015 0 Comments Fall Food Drive 2015Help with Our Fall Food DriveSt. Paul's is sponsoring a food drive in our neighborhood to help the Middlesex County Food Bank acquire supplies to ensure that all county residents in need have access to nutritious foods and necessities. There has been a recent shortfall in donations and our help is urgently need to restock their shelves. Here's how the drive is going work. Starting Saturday evening October 17, we can pick up official MCFOODS collection bags and announcement fliers at church. Sometime during that week, take a walk through your neighborhood, leaving a bag and a flier on the door of every house in your neighborhood, or, even better, talking with your neighbors and asking them to help collect food for the county food bank.
The flier will inform people that they should fill their bag with non-perishable food stuff and return their bag to St. Paul's on Saturday, November 7 between 8 a.m. and noon. The MCFOODS truck will come out and pick up the food on Monday, November 8. If you wish, you can tell your neighbors to bring the food to your house, and you can bring the food over to St. Paul's for them. Items in high demand: Tuna Fish, Cereal, Macaroni & Cheese, Condensed Milk, Canned Meats & Pastas, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Vegetables, Fruits, Stew, Brown Rice, Paper products, toiletries & baby supplies such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, diapers and wipes. (Canned and packaged goods only; NO glass items). Once again, we will be receiving donations for this food drive at St. Paul's on Saturday, November 7, from 8 a.m. to noon. We will need some people to welcome donors and stack the food. St. Paul's members, you can also bring your donations with you to worship on Saturday evening (5:30 pm) or Sunday morning.
