As we reach the half-way mark on our Lenten journey, we look forward to its end ... and our end in the cross, but do not fear, God has raised Jesus from the dead and promises to raise us to new life as well. The service ends with prayerful reading of Psalm 22 and a stripping of the altar. All worshippers leave in silence. The service continues on Friday evening.

This service of growing darkness tells the story of Jesus' betrayal, crucifixion and death with Bible readings, hymns and times darkness and silence. The service ends in silence and hope by the light of a single candle. The service continues on Saturday evening.
